A catch-all feature that is enabled for a particular e-mailbox will permit you to receive email messages that are sent to addresses that do not really exist. Otherwise said, if you disable an email address and someone still sends a message to it, or to any mistyped email address under the same domain, you’ll receive the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality means that you won’t miss an email for any reason, which could be vital in case you are running some business, for example. Since you may begin receiving unsolicited email messages, you can use the catch-all feature with anti-spam filters in order to receive only real email messages in your inbox. Only one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Web Hosting

You will be able to set up a catch-all mailbox without any difficulty if you have a web hosting account with our company. The Email Manager tool in our in-house developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel is full-featured, yet very easy to use, and it will permit you to enable various options, including the catch-all one, with just several clicks of the mouse. All the email addresses that you’ve got will be enumerated in alphabetical order in this section and on the right-hand side of each one you’ll see a mini "Catch-all" button. Clicking it once will enable this feature, clicking on it once more will disable it. Since you can have only one such mailbox per domain name, our system will alert you if you’ve already got a different one with this feature activated or if you have active email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all option can be activated effortlessly if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server plan with our company. All the email addresses that you have set up using the domain names hosted in the account will be listed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you’ll see a tiny button handily located directly next to each one of them. With only a click of the mouse, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your liking on the condition that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain name with this option already activated and there isn't active email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on an email address and enable the feature through the menu that will come into sight. In case any of the preconditions for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not satisfied, our system will let you know, but will not deactivate or replace anything automatically.
